Tom Monda, PE

OVERVIEW

Tom is a Highway Engineer at Michael Baker International. He has been with Michael Baker for 3 years and previously at SAI Consulting Engineers for 7 years. He has supported the highway group to many clients, including the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Allegheny County Department of Public Works, the Allegheny County Airport Authority, and the City of Pittsburgh 

Notable projects Tom has worked on include the PIT Airport Terminal Modernization Program serving as the highway designer for the internal roadway system, the I-80 North Fork (approx. $150 million) and I-80 Brookville East (approx. $350 million) reconstruction projects designing over 8 miles of interstate highway in north-central Pennsylvania, and the reconstruction/realignment of the Karns Crossing Bridge (approx. $65 million) in Butler County.

Tom holds a B.S. in civil Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and passed his professional engineering exam in 2017. He resides in North Fayette Township with his newly born daughter, Lucy, and his wife Emily. In his free time, he enjoys going out for a hike, playing/watching soccer, and reading a good book.
